I am a University of Missouri-trained, board-certified physician psychiatrist with experience treating a range of mental health conditions. I treat adults who are hesitant about seeing a psychiatrist for the first time, have run into difficulties with prior psychiatric care, or have historically incurred difficulties in accessing psychiatric care, such as adults with disabilities. I am licensed in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri.
I am passionate about psychoeducation. You deserve to understand our care plan and I encourage you to challenge my assessments. I often integrate supportive psychotherapy and CBT into visits, as appropriate, to help expand the narrative beyond prescriptions.
My main objective is not to numb you from thoughts or dissociate you from your lived experiences. Through measured psychiatric medication management, I hope that you will begin to feel gradually more capable of taking back your inner monologue.
